Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.

Our school library

Rockdale Public School library caters to students in Kindergarten to Year 6, and ensures that all students and staff have access to a dynamic, well-resourced school library. All students visit the library once a week for information literacy learning and to borrow library books.

During library lessons students learn how to:

Explore and enjoy quality literature in different formats and genres
Read, evaluate, and synthesise information in any form, print or digital
Build a positive digital footprint
Use library resources, including technology, effectively and responsibly

Students are able to borrow from the library in their library lesson or when the library is open during lunchtime. In order to borrow, students need to bring a library bag to protect library books while in their care.

As the heart of the school, our school library promotes literacy, fosters a thriving culture of reading for pleasure, and offers a safe, inclusive space for academic growth and social health for all its users.

Resources and technology

Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.
